Optix is a Chrome extension that improves prompts for AI assistants. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you use Optix, the following data is sent to our server:
— The prompt text you enter in the extension
— The AI provider and model you selected (e.g. Claude, Opus 4.6)
No other data is collected. We do not collect your name, email, browsing history, location, IP address, or any personally identifiable information.
Your prompt is sent to our backend server, which processes it using an AI model to generate an improved version. The improved prompt is returned to the extension and displayed to you. That is the only use of your data.
We do not store your prompts. Prompts are processed in real-time and discarded immediately after the improved prompt is returned to you. No prompt data is saved to any database, log file, or persistent storage.
Your prompts are sent to Anthropic's API (Claude) for processing. This is necessary to generate the improved prompt. No data is sold, shared with third parties for advertising, or used for any purpose other than improving your prompt.
Optix uses the following third-party service:
— Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com) — to process and improve prompts. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
All data transmitted between the extension and our server is encrypted using HTTPS. Our server is hosted on Railway with industry-standard security practices.
Since we do not store any personal data, there is nothing to delete or export. If you stop using the extension, no data remains on our servers.
Optix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
